Important News:

All are Welcome

‪Did you know that you are a member of the Parish? All you have to do to be a part of the Parish Church is live in the Parish. The Church of England operates a Parish system, the whole country is covered by a system of individual parishes, each a defined geographical area, so that every member of the population lives in a parish and has, as a consequence, the right to be married, baptised or buried in the parish church and to be ministered to by the Vicar and the local congregation of the parish.   Conversely, the Vicar and the local congregation has the duty of ministering to the population of the parish. The system is ancient but embodies that very modern idea, 'inclusivity.' All are welcome to participate in what ever way they feel they can, by helping out on the PCC (the committee that looks after the life of the local church), by attending services, by helping keep the church yard tidy, by enjoying fetes and fairs and other events or simply by making use of the church building as a place of quiet. You don't have to be religious, or churchy or know how it all works.  This is your Parish and church, you are welcome just because you live here and because we believe that God welcomes all in His love.
